Solids and Blanket Level Monitoring

Our MCS-16S and MCS-32S Units can be used to profile the Solids (mg/l or %) as well as determine the Sludge Blanket Level (m) in various type of settlement tanks. The Infra-Red based sensor heads SH32, SH16 & SH8 are manufactured specifically for these applications.

It determines the level of the blanket is in terms of depth as well as the Solids at each point. The standard sensor will have 16 points (optional up to 32 points). The unit will trigger an alarm signal, when the blanket reaches a pre-set depth. The user can access the alarm signal via the relay as well as use the current output for recording purposes. The standard interface depth is about 1200 mm. This can be modified to suit customer specification.
